LGBTQ and the workplace: in-person event (Lausanne)

Ahead of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, the WEF issued a statement that “Diversity, equity and inclusion should be at the heart of economic recovery”, and a call to action for the private sector to play a key role by prioritising diversity and inclusion and fully embedding D&I into their core business.

We are delighted to invite you to a “fireside chat” between Higher! Career podcast hosts Nikki Symmons & Tom Zamzow and René Staebe, Corporate Communications Manager and global PRIDE Lead at JTI, in Lausanne on 30th June.

This event is for you if you are keen to

  • Understand the multiple layers of being LGBTQ in the workplace
  • Gain insight into what companies can do to make everyone feel a sense of belonging
  • Find out what each and every employee can do to to drive the change we want to see

About our special guest, René Staebe:

René has worked in R&D and Scientific Communications for over 20 years; first at Procter & Gamble, and then at JTI which he joined in 2017.

René is a strong advocate for greater diversity and inclusion at JTI and in the Tobacco and Nicotine industry. He co-founded PRIDE, JTI’s global LGBTIQ+ Employee Resource Group, to raise awareness, offer peer-to-peer support and hold the Company accountable in all matters that impact the LGBTIQ+ community.

The Irish Business Network Switzerland (IBN) is a network of professionals living and/or working in Switzerland who are Irish or have an affiliation with Ireland. Membership is free, and our members represent a diverse range of backgrounds, skills and experiences.
