We are delighted to start the new season of IBN Switzerland events with a talk by Mark Henry, author of In Fact: An Optimist’s guide to Ireland at 100, on Thursday 20th October from 19.00 – 20.30 CET.
Ireland celebrates its 100th birthday as an independent nation in December. The country’s progress has been remarkable. Having started as one of Europe’s most poverty-stricken countries, it now enjoys the second-highest quality of life on the planet according to the United Nations.
Mark Henry, author of In Fact: An Optimist’s Guide to Ireland at 100, will outline how far Ireland has come and explain why it out-performed all other developed nations. He will, furthermore, explore the challenges that we next need to address to sustain progress into our second century.
Speaking of his book, Mark said “I have spent a lifetime analysing trends, understanding what drives them, and explaining their implications. Having spent two decades telling people all over the world what a great country Ireland is, I am on a mission to prove that it’s true.”
Please join us for this exceptional online event. Mark’s talk will last around 30 mins, after which there will be time for a Q&A with Mark and lively discussion with other IBN members and friends.
